What You Need

Beeswax Candles Instructions

Step 1: Apply the Wick Sticker

Pull one of the wick stickers off the roll and place it on the wick tab, then peel the paper off the exposed side of the wick sticker. Attach the wick to the bottom of the jar. Wick stickers are preferred, but you can also use double-sided tape or wrap a small amount of one-sided tape in a circle.

Step 2: Melt the Wax

Use a double boiler, or if you don’t have one you can create one by boiling one inch of water in a pot and placing a smaller pot or bowl inside. Add the wax and allow to melt. Stay under 200 degrees Fahrenheit as Beeswax can catch on fire above that temperature!

Step 3: Add the Essential Oil

Stir the beeswax, coconut oil, and essential oil(s) together in the double boiler until evenly mixed.

Step 4: Pour Wax into Jar

Be careful when pouring the wax as it can burn you!

Step 5: Center the Wick

In order to make sure the wick stays straight and center during the hardening process, wrap the wick around a skewer or pencil and lay the skewer over the opening of the jar with the wick in the center.

Step 6: Set Aside to Harden

Place the candles in a warm area to harden overnight. Setting them in a warm area will help prevent the wax from cracking.

That’s it! Light it, sit back, and enjoy your brand new beeswax candles!
